Financial Services Director
Meet Forest Suber. Forest began his career in the investment services industry in 1989 through Metropolitan Life Financial Services as a Representative, then Marketing Director, and Branch Sales Manager. He worked for an International Bank/Broker Dealer for the last two decades as a Senior Vice President and Regional Investment Sales Manager with BBVA. Forest earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in Education and has continued his studies through industry licensing, earning a Certified Retirement Counselor designation, and advanced speaking and presentation courses. Personally, he is active in his Church, enjoys golf and fishing, spending time with his family, and coaching youth sports. Joining CB&S Financial Services is an excellent way for Forest to feed his passion for helping people realize their financial goals through proper planning. As a Financial Services Executive with over 27 years of experience, he feels fortunate to lead teams in delivering comprehensive financial solutions for families through advisory and brokerage investments.
Meet Rick McGimsey. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Rick graduated from W.A. Berry High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama. He also attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham Graduate School of Business from 1977 - 1980. Rick’s business experience includes work as Benefit Authorizer with the Social Security Administration. He began his investments career with E.F. Hutton in 1984 and has worked in the financial services industry since. He joined CB&S Financial Services, Inc. in 2009. Rick married Peggy in 1980, and they have two daughters, Carrie and Katie. He enjoys fishing at the family lake house in Shelby County, sailing at the Birmingham Sailing Club at Logan Martin Lake, and occasionally playing a round of golf. The investment and insurance industries continue to change dramatically. It is the job of a good Financial Advisor to assess the objectives, parameters, and personal feelings of clients and make recommendations that best fit their needs.
Meet Billy Hughes. Billy began his career in the financial services business in 1982. He has worked in regional banks and brokerage firms as an advisor to 401(k) plans, a wealth management specialist and an institutional fixed income manager. Billy specializes in serving individual investors and small businesses. His personal mission is to utilize his experience and expertise to help people improve their financial future and their legacy. Billy enjoys duck hunting and fishing while spending time at his cabin in Southeast Arkansas. He also enjoys regular exercise and spending time with his family. Billy and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 35 years. They have one son, a daughter-in-law and a grandson. Billy is proud to be part of the CB&S Financial Services family and welcomes the opportunity to help others with their financial planning needs.
Meet Belma Cager. Belma grew up in the town of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He has been a financial advisor since 2011. Belma is a graduate of Alcorn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management and earned an MBA from Belhaven University. He and his wife, Dr. Nikki Cager, live in Clarksdale, Mississippi. His experience in finance has allowed him to be knowledgeable of all aspects of financial services including wealth strategies, investment management, banking and lending, and risk assessment. As a financial advisor, his mission is to create a financial plan that is tailored to help you reach your individual goals. Associate Financial Advisor
Meet LeAnn Farris. LeAnn spent her childhood in the small town of Danville, Alabama. She has been providing financial advice since 2004. Over the past decade, her experience has taken her through all aspects of the financial services industry, including wealth strategies, investment management, banking and lending, and risk assessment. As a financial professional, her mission is to understand your financial goals, help you create and implement a comprehensive financial strategy to achieve your goals, and partner together as life happens to keep you on track. With a goal to preserve and grow your hard-earned money, she is committed to helping you find the right investment solutions to meet your individual needs. When not at work, she enjoys RV’ing with her husband Chris and their two children: Carter and McKenzie.
Meet Julien Lahiere. Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Julien Lahiere graduated from Huntsville High School in 1984. He received a Bachelor’s of Arts from Auburn University in 1988 and, after graduate school, began his career in the Financial Services industry as a Registered Representative with Dean Witter in 1995. Using the training and experience gained at Dean Witter, Julien became an Investment Officer for Compass Bank in 1998 where he practiced for over 23 years. During this time, he became a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC) in 2007 and earned the title of Senior Vice President. In 2021, Julien joined CB&S Financial Services. His primary business interests are to create reasonable investment, retirement, and legacy solutions based on meaningful relationships built with the trust of his clients and their families. Julien continues to live in Madison County with his wife and family and pursues his love of dogs, outdoor recreation and gardening.
Meet Mitchell Griffin. Mitch has over 23 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry. He began his career with AXA Advisors and recently joined CB&S Bank. Mitch is firmly committed to long-term client relationships and, through financial planning, assists his clients with retirement, education, estate and insurance planning strategies. Mitch and his wife have two children. He is a life-long resident of Columbus and a member of First Baptist Church. He is past deacon chairman and serves as a deacon on the Finance Committee of First Baptist Church. Mitch serves on the FCA Fellowship Christian Athletes Board and Salvation Army Board and is a member of the Emmaus Community. Mitch is series 6, 7, 63, 65, and 24 licensed. He is a registered Investment Advisor Representative and Licensed insurance agent in Alabama and Mississippi.
Meet Christopher R. Smith, CFP®. Chris has 38 years of experience in financial services. He spent the first 20 years of his career in banking and the last 18 years have been in Investments. Chris received his Certified Financial Planner® certification awarded by the Certified Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in May 2002. He is a graduate of University of South Alabama Banking School and joined CB&S Financial Services in July 2022. He is able to provide an array of financial services including wealth management, retirement planning, college planning, and investment planning. Chris is also able to assist clients focus on estate issues and work with their advisors in developing their estate plan. Chris lives in Florence and has been married for 34 years to Belinda, and they have two sons, Colby, 27, and Colt, 22. He enjoys deer hunting, bass fishing and spending time with family.
Meet Scott Perkins. Scott is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his degree in Business Marketing. Scott and his wife, Jeannie, live near Lake Martin and have been married for 27 years. They have four children: Allen, Daniel, Anna, and Katie. In his spare moments, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, running, being outdoors, cooking, and watching college football. On occasion in the summer, he enjoys skiing on the lake with his children, and in cold weather can sometimes be found sleeping in a deer stand. Scott started his banking career in 1993 as a trainee and assistant branch manager and was soon promoted to branch manager. He then moved into private banking and in 1995 moved into banking investment services. For the last 27 years, Scott has been serving clients, individuals, and business alike helping them to navigate the life cycle of financial security and retirement planning. Many of his clients today are the children of parents he helped over the years. He is glad to be a part of the CB&S Bank family where he continues helping clients meet their financial objectives.
