John Willis

John joined CB&S Business Capital in August 2026. He has more than 40 years of experience as a commercial lender, primarily as an asset-based lender, and has served in virtually every discipline of the business, including field examination, account management, underwriting, relationship management, and business development. His financing experience spans manufacturing, distribution, B2B services, retail and specialty lender finance, with transactions driven by acquisitions, growth, turnarounds, leveraged distributions, and refinancing. John’s background also includes serving as CFO of middle-market operating company and working as a business advisor and principal investor. These experiences have given him a broad perspective on businesses and financing from the lender, borrower, and advisor and investor sides of the table. Prior lending experience includes Renasant Bank, PNC Business Credit, SunTrust Bank, and Wells Fargo. John is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.
